UltiMix Upgrades
As is explained in the description and user manual of the UltiMix 5000, the unit is designed to be upgradable in software. Since the unit is microprocessor-based, this means that almost unlimited functional extensions can be added, including whole new logical processing blocks and mixing regimes.
It's easy to upgrade: first of all, check whether the 'now shipping' version is later than the version of UltiMix 5000 that you have. You will find the software version number printed on the label on the underside of the unit. Check the list below to see if the improvements listed, subsequent to the version you already have, are of use to you. If you choose to upgrade, then return your UltiMix 5000 to Dawnmist Studio with the upgrade fee indicated (see previous page for payment and address details). We'll update it to the latest spec, by return of post. We'll also supply a new user manual or an update slip for the existing manual, as appropriate.
Please note that the process of installing new software in the unit erases any stored user programs. Therefore we advise you to make a note of the parameters of any programs which you have created, so that they can be re-entered on the upgraded unit.
